Most of the supercars on the market such as the McLaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron are designed in countries such as the United States or over in Europe. It seems that the Great White North doesn’t have any claim to fame when it comes to super cars.
That is until now.
A Canadian company based out of Quebec named Locus Technologies Inc. has created the first Canadian supercar – the Locus Plethore. The car’s chasis and body is completely manufactured out of carbon fiber, resulting in an extremely rigid frame. The car weighs 2500 lb and if it is paired with the 1300 hp engine, it has the same power to weight ratio as a Formula 1 race car. Talk about fast.
These cars carry a price tag of $330,000 CDN and they are limiting production to about 400 units per year. You can expect some sports celebrities to pick these up as they are cool cars at reasonable prices. With a price that low, it may even fit into your budget. Just remember the name: Locus Plethore.
