E-books are just electronic versions of regular books or journals but they frighten people if you suggest writing one. There is no longer any need for delaying with the simple process detailed below. Some writers only contribute small amounts to their books, relying on hired writers to do the bulk of the work, just finishing it off themselves.

The subject of your e-book is quite easy to work out if you have an interest in a specific area, why not write some articles and get the feed back on whether people are willing to pay for this information. Articles are less intimidating to write than a book, and you can use some of the articles as promotional tools to create demand for your forthcoming book. Post several articles on various websites, as well as on the article directories and the number of views your articles receive will show you what potential your book has for making sales.

The overall structure can be a work in progress while the article content is being written. You book should be in three to four sections and will contain an introduction, the main body of the material, a closing chapter and possibly some additional material too. Consider writing several more articles as a bonus because adding this as a bonus will enhance your sales.

Normally authors will write an article and then insert it into their e-book as this gives them an idea of how it will look when it is completed. E-Books are shorter than print books with the optimum length being around 50 pages so stick to the topic, and offer good, useful information. Because it’s more difficult to read on your computer screen than on the page, ensure that there’s no information that essentially useless to your reader.

Most e-books provide bonus material so if you can find some include this as it will be welcomed. You can easily write some extra articles or provide another report you have complied. Although one word of warning; make this content relevant to what the e-book is about.
