Taking the Perfect Pictures

Posted By Admin on December 3, 2008 @ 9:44 am

I’d like to think of myself as an avid photographer – pretty much everywhere I go, you can see me with my camera in hand.  It has not only taken a lot of practice, but it has also meant that I have had to buy the right tools for the job at hand.

Take for example, the Canon PowerShot G9 camera that I purchased recently.  I wanted to get a camera that was smaller, and not so large, so I bought the G9.  The reason that I went that route is that I wanted a camera that had all the bells and whistles of a SLR but contained in a small package.

So far I am very happy with my choice – in fact, the next time you come over, I’d be happy to show you some of the perfect pictures that I have taken with my new camera.

High upon a Pedestal

I am a huge fan of Banksy and can’t get enough of his artwork. I realize that he started out by painting graffiti on the walls of buildings in London, but I think his work was brilliant, even then. I think at the time, no one could argue that he was an artist and that his paintings were wonderful.

I remember when I bought my first piece of his work. It was a Banksy Kissing Coppers canvas and it is one of the proudest pieces of artwork that I own today. I have several more of his pieces, but this may be my all time favorite piece of his. I proudly display it to both the gay and the non gay community.

I am certainly not an art critic, but if I was, I would say that we may have one of the greatest artists to ever live. I would certainly put him on the pedestal with the likes of Picasso and Monet and I think that is saying a whole lot about him. I say, keep up the good work, Banksy!
