I was curious and asked my dad’s friend about classic car insurance. I wanted to know if it cost more or less to insure a classic car than it does to insure a new one. He told me that it all depended upon who you bought your insurance through.
When he had his car ready for the road, he was set on getting a really cheap car insurance rate. He told me that if you looked hard enough and knew how to haggle that you could get a good rate on just about anything.
I really took his advice to heart and I was so thankful that I had talked to him about it. I decided that it was time that I got cheap auto insurance, so I shopped around and when I found the best deal, I haggled and ended up getting an even better deal. It pays to talk to older people because they really are wise.
It seems everywhere I look, people are pampering themselves (or maybe I should say indulging themselves) by hiring Hummer limos, or any other brand of limousine hire. From Hummers to Cadillacs to Lincolns, to GM SUVs, you can ride in the proverbial lap of luxury and dine with panache during a smooth and quiet ride to anywhere you wish.
Yellow page ads are an excellent source of limo rental agencies. Of course the world wide web can help you find anything. The key to an effective online search for local rental agencies should take the form of limo hire Kent, where you have the “item,” the “what” and the “where.”
I recommend doing a price comparison to get the best deal. Be sure to ask what amenities are provided and if food and beverages are included in the rental price or extra. There are some shady dealers out there, so it never hurts to ask.
Did you know that your driving record is not the only thing that affects your auto insurance quotes?
I remember talking to my insurance agent a while back when getting a new used car and she told me that their company would be changing to a credit based system which didn’t make a lot of sense to me.
One reason it doesn’t work for me is that I have lousy credit, but a good driving record. My credit is bad thanks to a divorce and medical bills left over from a drunk driver hitting me. The really bad part is that all of those things happened over four years ago and credit rating stick with you from seven to ten years!
So, if they were to base my auto insurance on how well I have driven my car in the last seven to ten years rather than the medical bills that should have been paid by the drunk driver’s insurance, my car insurance wouldn’t be quite as expensive.
For as long as I can remember, I have been afraid to drive. I think my fear stems from an accident that I was in when I was a child. It was horrible and left me scarred and to this day, I have not been able to drive.
But, I have decided that I should maybe give it a try. You see, I recently won a car in a raffle that I had entered and since I won it, it has been sitting in the driveway, unused. That makes me a little sad, since it is the first thing that I have ever won and I am not able to enjoy it.
So, I have decided that I would give driving another chance. I have enrolled in driving lessons in Sutton Coldfield and I am going to start next Wednesday. Price wise it is very reasonable, I just hope I am able to overcome my fear of driving with the help of the instructor.
If I am unable to overcome my fear, I will just have to sell the car. I hope that it doesn’t come to that.
With everyone complaining about the high gas prices we all pay, I wonder why people don’t do something about it. In the past, many people have tried to arrange boycotts of gas stations or gas companies, but we all know that they never, really work.
Instead of trying to fight the gas companies by not being their customer for a product that most of us need, we should look at things a different way. Think of how you can reduce the price you pay for gas or reduce your dependence on gas.
Riding a bike, walking, using public transportation and car pooling are good ways to reduce the amount of gas that you need to use. For some people, these are good options, for others they just might not work. If they don’t work for you, you can try to reduce the amount you pay on the gas you buy.
You can use gas credit cards to get a discount on all your gas purchases. A gas credit card works very much like a cash back credit card, but you receive a percentage reward based on all you gasoline purchases.
Ask you bank teller or gas station attendant next time you are there to see if they offer gas cards - they are an effective method for beating high gas prices.
I have a buddy of mine that owns a car dealership. He bought it a few years ago, with the intention of making it big – and he has succeeded admirably.
Perhaps his biggest secret is diversification. He prides himself by offering a multitude of selections when it comes to vehicles. He carries motorcycles, cars, truck, mini-vans, and other specialty vehicles. Chances are if you were to visit his dealership, you would find at least one thing that would interest you.
One thing you won’t find at his dealership is a car or truck outside. In fact, he only has an indoor showroom with all the vehicles indoors. His reasoning is that he is selling cars that have not experienced any environmental damage.
But he doesn’t stop there. When you enter his showroom, you will find all the vehicles in car covers, motorcycle covers and even the SUVs in Budge SUV covers. This not only keeps the dust off the cars, but it adds an extra layer of protection from the sun shining down on the cars and fading the paint.
How is his dealership doing?
Well, his dealership is one of the most popular ones in his area. But, what is really interesting is that he gets about a quarter of his business from outside of his area- since people know that they are buying a car or truck that is about as new as they can get.
Most of the supercars on the market such as the McLaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron are designed in countries such as the United States or over in Europe. It seems that the Great White North doesn’t have any claim to fame when it comes to super cars.
That is until now.
A Canadian company based out of Quebec named Locus Technologies Inc. has created the first Canadian supercar – the Locus Plethore. The car’s chasis and body is completely manufactured out of carbon fiber, resulting in an extremely rigid frame. The car weighs 2500 lb and if it is paired with the 1300 hp engine, it has the same power to weight ratio as a Formula 1 race car. Talk about fast.
These cars carry a price tag of $330,000 CDN and they are limiting production to about 400 units per year. You can expect some sports celebrities to pick these up as they are cool cars at reasonable prices. With a price that low, it may even fit into your budget. Just remember the name: Locus Plethore.
Uniqueness is valued in our society. That is why we have different clothes, different hair cuts, and drive different cars. Even if you have a different car than your neighbor, chances are someone has a car exactly like you.
Don’t you want to be unique?
I know I do. As much fun as it is being a follower (sarcasm here), I would rather be a leader. So, I went looking online for a way to create my own unique Ford Mustang.
Guess what I found?
A unique website that was exactly what I was looking for: ModdedMustangs.com. They have all the information that you need to customize your Mustang to your taste. You can learn about some parts available for your car, the new 2008 Ford Mustangs, and even download wallpaper for your desktop. If you need some ideas on how to customize your Mustang or if you run into problems, you can always post on the Ford Mustang forum and get an answer from entusiasts around the world.
If you own a Mustang, you need to check out this site. I am going there right now… see you all in the forums.
BMW has been around since October 2006. As you can tell I may a variety of cars. And yes BMW may be one of them that is on my list of hot cars. BMW is a blog about BMW’s with a blog on such great sleek cars as the BMW Z3. I love the quality of the Z3 and of the blog of the Z3 as well. BMW even covers the BMW Motrocylce’s of the 60’s.
If there is every a flash site website you would like to experience, can I recommend Lamborghini. I am not always a fan of flash related websites. Due to the fact of having the patience of the page loading. But I found Lamborghini a pure delight.
When brought to the main page of Lamborghini you are given several options. You may view the site in English or Italian. You may have it in Standard or Widescreen option. But you are required to have flash player and a broadband connection to properly view the website. And the best resolution is in 1024×768.
After making my choices of how to view the website, I went straight to the model range page. I picked the car of my choice to view. The video presentation was nice. I went on to view the Museum of Automoboli Lamborghini. It appears there are 2 floors. A ground and 1st floor. Just click on the photos of what you want to view. You may even tour the Lamborghini Factory as well. The website gives you the address and email to find out the times and dates of the tours. You may even find out more about the Lamborghini history by clicking on the history link. And if you would like to view the Lamborghini Magazine you have to be a full subscriber to view the magazine.
Overall viewing Lamborghini was a pure delight and experience. If one would like to know the history or view all the Lamborghini models in a form it was meant to be. Than make a visit to Lamborghini.
