I Received a Starter Business Package in the Mail

Posted By Admin on August 7, 2008 @ 1:44 am

I recently attended a seminar on starting your own business and it was very educational.  You see, I have been considering starting up my own business on the side with hopes that it will be able to replace my full-time income in the next couple of years.  But, having never started a business before, I knew that attending the workshop would be invaluable in learning what is involved in running my own business.

It is only been a couple of days since the seminar, but I have received a package in the mail this morning full of business forms and other goodies that will help me take the steps I need in establishing my business.  Some examples of the forms I did receive included company registers, some sample HR policies, and forms for new hires.

Though these resources will be very helpful, they also remind me that I’m way out of my league.  I think I will have to find a mentor that has created businesses before and would be willing to share their knowledge with me.  By drawing on their experience, I will be able to ensure that I minimize the number of mistakes I make in creating my own business.

Creating Websites Quickly

Posted By Admin on June 16, 2008 @ 4:19 pm

One of the things that I have learned is the more the merrier.  If I have one website that makes one dollar per day, wouldn’t it make sense to have a thousand sites making a dollar a day?

Well, that is the way I run my business - I feel that spreading my earnings over a large number of sites keeps me from being in the position of having too many eggs in one basket, but at the same time, it creates a daunting task for me.

How do I make one thousand sites?

Well, the trick is not doing everything myself.  I outsource the content, I get the logo design online, and all I do is put the pieces together.  This way, I can focus on putting the sites up as quickly as possible, and I even outsource the marketing.

And that is my secret on how to create websites quickly.

Online Marketing Uber Basics

Posted By Deb Gallardo on June 9, 2008 @ 1:18 pm

If you’re unfamiliar with how to get started online, here are the bare bones of the process. There are many intermediate and advanced steps, but this will give you an overview.

1. Determine a topic you’re interested in and do an online search for it plus “forum”

2. Visit the forums that came up in your search. Find a topic people are asking about that you have knowledge in. Offer useful tidbits without giving away everything you know.

3. Purchase a domain name based on your topic.

4. Find a web host. There are lots of free web hosting companies out there.

5. Start a free blog using your domain name.

6. Create a page on where people can sign up to get your report free.

7. Go back to the forum thread and mention that you have a free report that answers the question.

You are now on your way to building a list and about ready to start monetizing your blog. But that’s another topic for another day.

Escaping the Rat Race Through MLM

Posted By Admin on June 1, 2008 @ 4:32 pm

As much as I “like” my job, I really don’t.  You see, it takes time away from my family, and I am missing out on my children’s lives.  Not to mention that I come home so very frustrated because no matter how hard I work, we never seem to get ahead.

I was introduced to an MLM by a friend of mine that has enjoyed some MLM Success.  He started out with the company that he is working with two years ago, and since he participated in their MLM lead generation program, he was able to finally leave his job six months ago.

Another key to his success is that he is blogging for profit each day - with each post that he makes on his blog, his traffic and income has increased.

So, I am going to give it a try, and hopefully, I will be in the same position he is in a couple of years from now - no longer working a real job.

Payment Processor Affiliate Programs

Posted By Admin on May 31, 2008 @ 7:44 pm

We have a franchise that we started a couple of years ago that has just taken off.  We started our first bubble tea shop about ten years ago now, and we have never looked back.  We offer something unique and with little competition, interest in our brand has soared.

The interest has become so high that we are looking to open about twenty five locations over the next six months, and we are looking to squeeze a little extra money out of each location.  You see, we have added a clause that each store owner must get their payment processor through us, so we have been looking for one with an affiliate program.

The company with the most potential so far is a company that offers high risk merchant accounts.  Their payout rate is very good as well as due to the nature of their business, none of the new franchisees should have any problems qualifying.

It definitely looks like a lucrative partnership to me.

Lucky Lottery

Posted By Twyla on May 30, 2008 @ 11:48 am

A very exciting thing happened to me last week. I won fifty thousand dollars in a hospital lottery. People have been asking me what I was going to do with the money and I think many of them assume I am crazy when I tell them that I am going to buy web domain names.

Most people do not look at the Internet from the same point of view as I do. I look at it as my greatest resource for making money. The more web domain names that I own, the more web pages I will have that could potentially be making me a profit.

To me, it is an investment and I think that this money will go a long way in making my business a success. So, if you do not understand, that is alright. I decided that it was my money and I was going to put it to good use.

A Novel Idea

Posted By Twyla on May 14, 2008 @ 1:27 pm

When I was looking into starting my own business, I wanted to find something that I could do where the market was not too saturated. I knew that I wanted to produce some type of promotional items that could be used my businesses for advertising. I know that I always enjoyed getting promotional products from companies and I really think it does help to sell a product.

I thought that add another level to my company by also offering a wide variety of corporate gifts. This would save time for the people at the office when it comes time to present a large number of Christmas gifts. I know that this type of service would have come in really handy at my last job, as I was the one in charge of buying for everyone in the office and it was more than a little stressful. I would like to offer people the option of never having to go through that ever again.

Being My Own Boss

Posted By Twyla on May 12, 2008 @ 7:21 pm

When I became a mother for the first time, I knew that I was not going to want to go back to work. I wanted to spend as much time with my baby as I possibly could because I knew just how quickly they grow and I did not want to miss out on the big milestones in her life.

I also knew that losing my income was not something we could afford. I decided to check out what my options were and I thought that I would find the best home based business as I could and give that a try. I knew that if I did this, I could totally schedule my work around my husbands and that way we would not have to put Cassie into daycare.

I found a great little business and before too long, I was making far more, working way fewer hours than I had at my previous job. The best part was that I was my own boss and if something came up with Cassie, I could take the day off.

Preparing a New Menu

Posted By Admin on May 8, 2008 @ 7:03 pm

It has been a long time since our restaurant has come out with a new menu - and it is about time we did.  You see, our menus look ratty because we have used stickers to change the prices over the years, and our professional look has disappeared.

I also don’t really care for the stains on the pages of the menus - a good sign that it is time to throw them out.  Instead of the simple menus that we used to use, we want to create something more elaborate and pleasing to the eye.

So, we have hired a food photography expert to help us take pictures of the dishes that we offer.  I think a menu with pictures of the food served on the menu helps customers decide what to get as well as give them a good idea of what to expect.

The photographer should be here tomorrow to do the photoshoot, and then we will put the menu together and send it to the printer.  I can’t wait to see the finished product - anything will be better than what we currently have.

Lovin’ My Livin’

Posted By Twyla on May 7, 2008 @ 3:17 pm

I am no stranger to the Internet. In fact, I make my living on it by owning various websites and offering SEO services. I am very lucky that I learned as quickly as I did because the market evolves so quickly and I was lucky enough to get in on it before it was completely saturated.

My most recent endeavor is that of starting forums. I have started quite a few of them, some even on topics I know little about. I started a health forum because I knew that it would interest a lot of people and draw in quite a large crowd. I was right and it is doing very well.

Another thing that I have been doing is writing articles that send links back to my websites. It has been working really well for me and I am lucky to be doing something that I love. In the end, I think a person’s success can be measured by how fond they are of their job and I am extremely fond of mine.
