A Good Investment

Posted By Twyla on December 15, 2007 @ 6:58 pm

My best friend and I have recently purchased a set of condos in Spain. We are not moving there, but the deal was too great to pass up and the area is a good one for tourists. I did a quick search on villa rentals in Spain and was pleased with the results. I am sure it will not take long to recover our investment.

I know that last time I was planning a trip, there was not a holiday rental in Spain to be found. It was just too busy. I had booked and paid for my flight and had an itinerary all planned out. I was to meet with some friends from England and could not just ditch them.

I ended up going with a motorhome rental because that is all I could find. It ended up working well and being a really fun trip, but it would have also been a bit more relaxing to have been able to get a villa.

Because of this trip, I knew finding a good price would be a great investment and now that I have found the deal and have my friend on board, we are ready to start making money.

The Easy Way to Start a Business

Posted By Admin on November 30, 2007 @ 10:06 pm

Well, let me share with you an easy way to start a business that requires little or no creativity.  I know that this blog talks about creativity quite a bit, but it is okay to not be creative once in awhile.

So, to start off on our "non creative" journey to start a business  let me throw out a word for you: franchise.  Basically you would find a franchise that interests you (sorry coffee drinkers, you cannot buy a Starbucks franchise) and invest your money - and they give you the instruction book (so to speak) on how to run it.  It is very much like a brand new board game - all the pieces and instructions are included.

If you are looking for a "sure thing" this is as close as you can get.  I would suggest looking for the top franchise opportunities to find the cream of the crop for investing your dollars.

If you want to be a pioneer and enter markets with franchises that are rapidly growing, check out the fastest growing franchises.  Usually you can find a lot of great markets where there is great opportunity (and great rewards) and possibilities.  You can usually get a better return on your investment in these instances.

So, if you want the "tried and tested" way to start a business - a franchise is a good choice.  It takes all the guesswork and testing out of the equation, instead of figuring out how thing work, read the manual and focus on making the money.  That is why you are investing, right?

The Right Education at the Right Price

Posted By Admin on November 6, 2007 @ 4:27 am

I have been looking for the past few months for a good futures day trading course.  You see, I have had some interest in this investment style for awhile, but I wanted to get the education first, before I jumped head first into investing.  I do have a bit of money to invest but I don’t want to lose a lot either.

It has been an arduous quest to find a good and affordable day trading education.  Either you get some new investor trying to sell you their investment program, or you get some over priced program from an expert but nothing in between.  I feel that there should be some correlation between the value of the course and its’ price.  I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for the course, but I didn’t want to cheap out either.

Fortunately (or unfortunately if you would prefer) I did only find one offering that met my criteria: the Emini Day Trading Course.  The price is right and looking over the creator’s blog, I can see that he is willing to share his successes and his failures - honesty for me goes a long way.  So I think I may have found the one - seems that it has taken too long…
